"This is it..." Alain thought to himself as he approached the room where the last Zygarde Cell was. "Just a little more, and Team Flare can move forward..."

However, before he could advance, a lone figure stood in his way. The figure wore a red cap... one he could swear he'd seen before... and then it hit him. This was that one boy he battled a while back. The one that had the mutant Greninja. His name was Ash, wasn't it?

Ash: Oh. Hey, Alain! What's up?

He greeted Alain with a grin on his face. The same grin he'd shown before, but different somehow. It sent a small chill down his spine.

Ash: Me? Oh, I'm okay, I guess. Could be better, though. My friends are pretty banged up... some bad guy came and hurt 'em, and stole Squishy. Weird thing is... he looked a lot like you.

Alain stood still, unclear what the younger trainer was getting at. He saw the brim of his hat cast a shadow over his face.

Ash: Hey, Alain, was it? Can I ask you something? Mom always told me that everyone had some good in them. And I wanna know if it's true. Is it... possible for a person to change? Do you believe that even the most horrible, despicable, heartless person could be good if they just tried? Do you think...

The shadow lifted briefly, showing that Ash has what looked somewhat worried.

Ash: ... That it's not too late for you?

Mindgames... this brat was toying with him, wasn't he? Alain stepped forward a pace, and the shadow covered Ash's eyes again.

Ash: Okay, better question. Do you wanna have a bad time? Cuz if you take another step forward... YOU'RE REALLY NOT GONNA LIKE WHAT HAPPENS NEXT.

Alain chuckled a bit and stepped forward again. Ash continued to look down.

Ash: ..... Guess Mom was wrong after all... I'll have to apologize to Sycamore after this...

At that moment, Alain could hear the sounds of nature around him. Various Pokemon calls... a babbling brook... the gentle swaying of tree branches. The former assistant called out his Charizard as Ash stepped forward.

Ash: Would you just listen to it, Al? A beautiful day. The breeze is blowing, Fletchling are chirping... just beautiful. On days like this, trainers like you... no...

Ash looked up again... but this time, his eyes had turned blue... flame-like wisps came from them, and the whites had turned black... but worst of all? His expression resembled that of a Seviper, ready to kill its prey. A blue blaze surrounded him, and rapidly grew in intensity. It felt... like an inferno of Aura... determination... and lastly, murderous intent. At that moment, it was clear...

Ash: MISERABLE PILES OF GARBODOR SHIT LIKE YOU... SHOULD BE BURNING IN HELL. AND WHO AM I TO PROLONG THE INEVITABLE?

......... Ash wanted him DEAD... Alain was going to have a bad battle...
A short one-shot that in NO way inspired by Undertale. Nope. Not at all. >_>  <_<

Anproposed "What If" scenario, where Ash has been pushed past his limits... he's no longer intent to just stop Alain. No, in Ash's eyes, he's beyond saving.

I do not own Pokemon or Undertale.
